Morningside MeowSales agreement for a kitten – This contract is for reserving and purchasing a kitten.
This kitten is being sold for a pet only. Not breeding.
Total cost for kitten – $2000; if needed plus transport fees.
If purchasing a registered kitten, you will be given Tica or Cfa registration papers once the kitten is spayed/neutered and proof from a vet is provided. We require males and females to be spayed/neutered at 6 months of age to avoid spraying or heat cycles starting. Your kitten will be 6 months old on _____________________________.
Kittens leave around 10 weeks old depending on buyer’s discretion as well as weather permitting for transportation.
Kittens will stay longer if a health problem should arise. If a health problem arises, the buyer can wait or transfer their deposit to another available kitten from that litter or future litters.
Deposit of $100 is required to hold a kitten. Deposit is non-refundable. If the buyer decides they would like to wait or get another kitten the deposit can be transferred to another future kitten.
The remainder of payment must be paid at or before pickup by cash, Venmo, Zelle, or Paypal.
Seller can deny kitten to buyer if not seen fit and if deposit was already given it will be refunded.
Kittens will be vet checked, microchipped, and given FVRCP vaccine before leaving. Buyer will be responsible for the next FVRCP needed _______________________.
Buyer will need to provide Rabies vaccine in accordance to the law where they reside.
Kittens are vet checked and deemed healthy and safe to move home with the buyer prior to leaving the seller.
Seller provides 30 days free Trupanion health insurance coverage. The buyer is responsible for starting this coverage within 24 hours of picking up the kitten. If the buyer does not start the Trupanion free 30 days, the health warranties are null and void. The seller recommends keeping health insurance on all pets for their lifetime.
If the buyer feels the kitten is unhealthy or imperfect, they are to seek veterinary care at their cost.
The seller will not be responsible for any veterinary care costs.
If there is any congenital or hereditary defect found that will drastically alter the life expectancy of the kitten, the buyer shall contact the seller in writing providing all veterinary records. Seller reserves the right to request a 2nd opinion at the seller's cost. If the seller’s veterinarian is in agreement, the seller shall replace the kitten as soon as one is available.
At no time shall the seller refund any monies or be responsible for the buyer's veterinary expenses.
If a kitten passes away during its first year of life without a confirmed diagnosis, the buyer is to have a necropsy completed and all results provided to the seller. If the kitten’s passing is due to anything hereditary or congenital the kitten will be replaced and the cost of the necropsy refunded. If the kitten passes from any physical trauma, preventable illness, neglect, or lack of proper care, no replacement will be provided, and no refund will be due.
If any replacement kitten is provided, all transportation or shipping is the buyer’s responsibility.
If this pet only kitten is bred, either accidentally or intentionally, the buyer will pay the seller $5000 per litter produced by this kitten.
Buyer understands they are responsible for $5000 per litter damages even if they transfer, sell, or give away the kitten to another party.
Buyer understands they are responsible for the costs of all veterinary care including spay/neuter.
Buyer understands this kitten is never to be declawed.
Buyer agrees this is an indoor only pet. The kitten will not ever be allowed to freely roam outdoors. If going outdoors the kitten will be in a carrier or on a leash and safety harness.
The parties agree in the event that this contract is to be litigated; it must be litigated in the county of El Paso in Colorado.
