Hello!
I imagine you are getting excited to pick up your kitten in a few weeks! Here is important information on their feeding, routines, and links to everything:
PICKUP
When you pick up I'm happy to accept cash, venmo, zelle, or Paypal. Please be aware that many electronic methods have daily limits, it often varies by your bank.
I am ready to schedule your pickup whenever you are ready. They will be seeing the vet on or just before October 16 for their go home exam. Just let me know what day and time works best for you (after the 16th) and I'll see what I can do!
Kitten pickup will happen on my front deck. I'll be available to answer any questions you can think of and I'll go through their kitten departure package. Plan on being here for about 5-10 minutes or so.
The safest place for a kitten to ride is inside a kennel. I do not require them, I do recommend it. If you would like me to have a new, soft sided carrier for you to take the kitten home in, they are $28. This is the carrier I have: https://www.chewy.com/frisco-basic-dog-cat-carrier-bag/dp/171846
MICROCHIP
Your kitten will be microchipped. The Microchip will be registered directly to you, and will include lifetime chip registration with no annual fees or anything. All you have to do is keep the information current and accurate. I will Email you a few days before you pick up your kitten to get this microchip registration info from you.
FEEDING
Water is always available in a gravity refill bowl.
Kittens are currently free fed kibble, it is available always. I mix Royal Canin and Nulo Chicken:
https://www.chewy.com/royal-canin-feline-health-nutrition/dp/1266302
https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/nulo-medalseries-grain-free-chicken-dry-cat-and-kitten-food
You do not need to continue mixing these foods as I do, purchasing either is fine. I began mixing during Covid when supply issues were big and I wanted more options that my cats were familiar with so I had more possible availability of products to feed them. I have continued to do so because pet food has so many recalls, I figure feeding 2 completely different items limits their exposure in the event of any recall or manufacturer quality situations.
Four times a day they are given raw food and canned food. We rotate many wet 'kitten' foods but primarily royal canin, pro plan, blue, and Tika.... We also rotate flavors in hopes to avoid picky eaters. They do prefer raw food, and I highly recommend the raw diet for cats. I do realize that not everyone is willing to feed raw, so I try to keep the kittens as open to options as possible. The raw diet my cats eat is raw ground meat (chicken, turkey, or beef, I rotate/buy what is easily available and priced well) mixed with a food pre-mix and fish oil. I use 2 different pre-mixes, they are My Natural Cat and EZ complete fur cats, find them here:

https://www.foodfurlife.com/store/p4/EZComplete_Fur_Cats_450g_-_Makes_24.2_lbs_of_food.html#/
If you want to feed raw but do not want to mix our own, these are a few great options:
https://www.stellaandchewys.com/where-to-buy/
https://www.stevesrealfood.com/
Many pet stores sell raw food in stores. We have and do use Steve's in our rotation of foods offered to the kittens.
It is best if you keep their eating habits and food the same as they are already accustomed to for at least the first few weeks if not for longer. If you have difficulty finding the food, please let me know! It is important not to change their food during the stressful move home. If you have any questions about feeding, foods, raw prep, please don't hesitate to ask!!
LITTER
I offer multiple litter box choices to the kittens. The kittens are used to scoopable litter and wood pellet litter (that does not scoop).
We have both covered and uncovered litter pans and a couple of litter robots available for them to use. Although the kittens aren't large enough to trigger the litter robots, my adult cats use the robots almost exclusively. I highly recommend them, I can't believe I went so long without one (or 3!). (using this link will get you $50 off litter robots: https://share.litter-robot.com/x/evn8JP )
It is important to use litter they are familiar with. We use Scoop Away. It is the cheapest at COSTCO. Otherwise walmart, petco, petsmart, and others carry it. https://www.chewy.com/scoop-away-complete-performance-fresh/dp/184410 and the pellets https://www.chewy.com/feline-pine-original-non-clumping/dp/29098
This is similar to the litter tray they are used to: https://www.chewy.com/hartz-cat-litter-tray/dp/210115
OTHER
The kittens are used to being confined when unattended (mostly at night). I do this for safety and do recommend it until you and the kitten are familiar with each other. If you decide to limit their space, please be sure their space includes food, water, a litter pan, and a bed.
If you have never gotten a kitten or have any questions on transitioning the kittens into your home please let me know!
We use and love cat trees. Our cats, and the kittens, spend hours on them each day. If you are shopping for one, watch some have weight limits or get tippy with giant cats. I have one anchored to the wall because it gets tippy, just know sometimes that is necessary with the less expensive trees. Cat Tree King has pricy, beautiful, strong cat trees that don't have the tip risk. https://cattreeking.com/collections/frontpage
I do suggest often brushing your kitten gently to get him/her used to the process so it will help when you need to get a tangle out later. I use a small slicker brush and a small comb. I also clip nails once a week.
They love toys on a string like these: https://www.chewy.com/kong-active-feather-teaser-cat-toy/dp/51521
If you think of any questions in the meantime let me know!!
